Best Homemade Dog Food Recipes

When you consider dog nutrition you may be better off with homemade recipes. Some commercial dog foods are not really very good for our pets. Some of them are made with meats that are not considered fit for human consumption, and there are a lot of things added to commercial foods like preservatives. There are many people that would argue that this is causing a lot of different sicknesses in our dogs. I am not going to rant about which would be right, but I know I personally feel better about the dog nutrition my pet gets because I make his food using homemade recipes.

Because I use homemade recipes I am in control of what my pet is eating. I know that he is not getting some meat by-product because I am the one getting all the meat for his food. He actually likes venison the best. I doubt that I am the only pet owner that wants to be in control of the dog nutrition for my pet.

There are some sites where you can get some homemade recipes. Not all of these are free and you could spend quite a bit of time scrolling through one recipe at a time. I do not know about you, but I can think of better things to do with my time than to keep searching through different dog foods. It is not very often when you will find a bunch of them available on one site, but you need to make sure that they are including the things your pet needs. You may not think about it, but your dog needs vegetables and grains almost on the same levels as humans do. Rice is often the popular version of grains found in dog foods whether you buy it or you make it. This is because rice will take on the flavors of the other ingredients of the mix. It does not really have a taste of it’s own so it blends in nicely.
